TRW WEEKLY REPORT FOR 23RD TO 27TH AUGUST 2010.

The NSE ASI closed marginally up by 122.06 (0.49%) closing at 25,106.86 points.

The Month of AUGUST continue to be a night mare for investors. MTD figures shows the Index loosing a total of -527.53 points.

 This weeks rally started out strong on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Lost on Thursday, While Friday witnessed a Major Sell off and gave it all back and then ultimately finishing close to where they started.

In the end, the markets did little to clear up the picture and left traders wondering whether they are close to breaking down or providing a buying opportunity.

Technically

Stepping back, and watching the NSE index in 2 scenario's................... 

First Scenario:

The fact that remains in an interesting position in which the NSE ASI has been trading on a HIGHER LOW levels and LOWER HIGH LEVELS has been forming since JULY forming a SYMMETRICAL TRIANGLE shows that the prices are consolidating (same pattern witnessed in January) within the tight Triangular points and are getting ready to embark on a High Breakout to 25,500-25,700 levels, if the 25,000 points hold.

The second scenario:

which is occurring on a much shorter time frame, is the idea that a tradable low is forming if RSI breaks below 33 points. The current SYMMETRICAL TRIANGLE might be at risk, Break the 25,000 points and heading straight down to its JULY LOWS of 24,753 points level.

The markets could really head in either direction at this point, and traders need to be patient as the move could be explosive in either direction.



Bottom Line
The markets are truly in a position where a large move can occur in either direction. There are many mixed signals as well, making it even more difficult to get a read on price action. Traders need to remain patient and keep a watchful eye on some clearly defined levels. Just beneath current price action is a clearly defined support level that has held over the past year. Just above price action is a price level that has acted as resistance over the past two months. Clearing either of these two ranges will begin to stack the odds in a trader's favor, but until then, traders are probably better sitting on the fence and watch the BULLS and BEARS sought themselves out.
